Hi Contributors, I have submitted a fix for flytekit: https://github.com/flyteorg/flytekit/pull/3230 Changes are approved and merged. Any chance to get this fix backported to flytekit 1.14 and release it? Is there anything I can do for this?
f
Why back port?
a
@freezing-airport-6809 On the server side, we have Flyte 1.14.1, I assumed it's recommended to keep
Flyte
and
flytekit
minor versions in sync. If that's not the case, no need to backport, it's fine if it's included in the next release.
f
It’s not needed all the time - only recommended
Can you try 1.15 with your server it should work
a
we can. can you cut a new 1.15 release that includes this fix?
@freezing-airport-6809 @damp-lion-88352 @glamorous-carpet-83516 Is that possible to cut a release that includes the above fix?
@freezing-airport-6809 @damp-lion-88352 @glamorous-carpet-83516 I can see this fix is part of v1.16.0b7 Pre-release. Do you have an estimate for when this fix will be available as part of a stable release? (that we can use in our PROD workflows)
d
I think in 2 weeks will release
let me talk to Kevin
a
thank you!
any chance to backport the fix to 1.15?
d
let me discuss with Kevin too
a
thank you!
d
do you mind use the beta version first? https://pypi.org/project/flytekit/1.16.0b7/
a
that's fine for testing
but for prod, we definitely need to use a stable release
