#6800 [BUG] map task (array node task) doesn't honour user specified retry budget Issue created by fg91 ### Flyte & Flytekit version 1.16.10 ### Describe the bug Map tasks do not honour the retry budget specified in the task decorator. ### Expected behavior As a user, I would expect that the tasks in the following workflow with a
map_task
are retried as specified in the task decorator
retries=11
times. @task( retries=11, ) def test(inp: int) -> None: raise FlyteRecoverableException() @workflow def wf() -> None: map_task(test)(inp=[i for i in range(3)]) Here, in the nodes array handler, for the example above
nCtx.Node().GetRetryStrategy()
is
nil
and therefore
maxAttemptsValue := int(config.GetConfig().NodeConfig.DefaultMaxAttempts)
. I would say this is not the desired behaviour ### Additional context to reproduce No response ### Screenshots No response ### Are you sure this issue hasn't been raised already? • Yes ### Have you read the Code of Conduct? • Yes flyteorg/flyte
