I'm also unsure about how to reference the secrets, tried this one, without success.

Oh that doc is for the Union platform which comes it its own secrets manager and supports AWS and GCP ones too Sorry if this is not properly documented as it should be in Flyte. Could you please file an Issue for this? Also docs contributions are more than welcome 🙂
