Currently, Flyte does not support setting a backoff time for task retries directly. According to <https://discuss.flyte.org/t/535290/hey-wave-is-it-possible-to-get-a-backoff-time-when-setting-a/|Flyte's discussion forum>, this feature is not available yet. However, there is ongoing work to implement task retry with delay, as indicated in the <https://github.com/flyteorg/flyte/pull/5263|GitHub pull request>.
