Sure, having a Slurm agent would greatly benefit our HPC setup. I can help to test it. The Slurm REST API is an optional daemon that is not always available. This is also the case for our current production HPC setup. I see that using the REST API would be an obvious way to interact with Slurm. However, it restricts usage to clusters that provide the REST API. I will ask our HPC administrators if we can create a test environment with the REST API for such a setup.
