#4478 [BUG][flytekit] Flytekit restore not idempotent for corrupt checkpoints Issue created by fellhorn Describe the bug If a checkpoint is not uploaded e.g. due to node shutdown, flytekit behaves differently for multiple calls of
restore()
on the checkpoint. The first call will fail with a
FlyteAssertionError
(remote file can't be downloaded), all subsequent calls with a
User error
(tmp file already exists from the first call). Expected behavior All calls to
restore
should raise the same exception Additional context to reproduce No response Screenshots No response Are you sure this issue hasn't been raised already? ☑︎ Yes Have you read the Code of Conduct? ☑︎ Yes flyteorg/flyte
