hello - i'm wondering if there already exists documentation to guide one through the creation and implementation of their own external service backend plugin (native golang). I'm looking at Snowflake as an example of an HTTP API as seen in the docs.

There exists, but I would recommend you wait for 1.6 release as we are enabling backend plugins in python
